CRITICAL REFLECTION
How do your products represent social groups or issues? My team and I created a film that thoroughly represents the social issue that is most prominent in our area, currently: the Coronavirus Pandemic. However, in our film, we chose to represent this virus in a new light. We re-named the illness and gave it new symptoms to add some mystery to our film. We did not want our audience to feel like they already knew everything about the virus, which is why we decided to make these changes. We also made an effort to convey some of our personal experiences into our film, revolving around the Pandemic. When we were coming up with this plot, we discussed the weirdness of society before and after the virus became a looming danger. We remember how normal and happy people seemed out in public, versus how rushed and isolated it felt after the lockdown was announced.
